Electron pair dot arrangement for ammonia is portrayed by the valence electrons surrounding the N atom. The Lewis point structure for NH3 reveals that the nitrogen atom connects one pair of electrons with each of the three H atoms, resulting in a complete of a trio joined pairs of electrons. The ammonia molecule takes a three-sided pyramid-like shape attributed to the distribution of the outer electrons according to its Lewis dot arrangement. In the Lewis dotpoint representation of ammonia, the N atom is enveloped by three points, each representing a pair of united electrons with a hydrogen atom.
